Already known for specialties like decarbonization and power services, Gannett Fleming continues its expansion into the energy sector by hiring Larry Head as Energy Services Corporate Business Group director.

“Our energy services stand on a strong foundation of our long-established expertise – from transportation and water resources to geospatial technology, safety and security, and buildings – and we’re answering our clients’ requests by expanding our energy services and bringing on renowned industry leader Larry Head,” said Bob Scaer, PE, Gannett Fleming chairman and CEO.

With over 30 years of global industry leadership, Head joins Gannett Fleming after most recently leading energy services for a 400-person team at Stanley Consultants. As a member of the board of directors and energy business unit leader, Head oversaw remarkable growth in the renewable power generation, energy storage, electric vehicle charging, and power delivery markets. Before Stanley, Head served as vice president of power and energy at AECOM and oversaw complex and high-profile projects like the response to the Aliso Canyon natural gas leak in California.

“Decarbonization. Decentralization. Destabilization. There are tremendous forces of change hitting our industry as we move toward renewables and microgrids,” said Head. “I joined the Gannett Fleming team because they can help clients address these monumental changes head-on, with agility and innovation, all with a clear mission to improve quality of life for the people we serve.”

A graduate of Georgia Institute of Technology and Claremont Graduate School, Head has prioritized the growth of others on his team, instituting an early career development program to encourage employee engagement and advancement. He is also an avid supporter of the Food Bank of the Rockies and the RMEL Foundation Scholarship, which awards scholarships to those pursuing an education in the energy industry.
