Berry’s areas of focus include energy innovation, decarbonization planning and strategy, and renewable energy implementation. In his role with the V&R Business Line, he will assist clients, including owners of energy infrastructure and consumers of energy, in their efforts to efficiently and economically reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.
He spent nearly 11 years at the New York State Energy Research & Development Authority, most recently as the director of research and development. In this role, he directed investments toward developing and commercializing cutting-edge clean energy innovation for transportation, buildings, smart grid, and renewable segments. Berry also oversaw the development of innovation and research programs in support of New York’s Clean Energy Fund.
“Renewable energy technologies and progressive climate action initiatives and laws continue to drive change,” said Berry. “Our clients are facing new challenges as they identify ways to meet new regulations, implement renewable sources of energy, and reduce their carbon footprint. I joined Gannett Fleming to add value to our clients and to utilize my perspective of sitting on the owner’s side of the table. One of Gannett Fleming’s core beliefs is innovation, and I’m excited to continue innovating long-term renewable energy and decarbonization strategies with our clients.”
“Bryan is an excellent addition and a key hire for decarbonization planning and strategy efforts,” said John Spanos, president of the V&R Business Line. “His renewable energy and decarbonization experience bring increased value to our clients and the communities we serve.”
