Association of Geohazard Professionals Elects Krupansky President

An AGHP member since 2019, Krupansky is a seasoned professional geologist who has made meaningful contributions to the organization, previously serving as its corporate member representative and secretary. In addition to his role as president, Krupansky chairs a task force whose mission is to create an online geohazards database for industrywide benefit.

As president, Krupansky will oversee the effective governance of the board and guide it in achieving the objectives outlined in its strategic action plan. He will also act as AGHP’s spokesperson to further the association’s mission to advance the geohazard industry by developing standards and best practices and enhancing educational opportunities for geohazard professionals.

“Geohazard education and awareness are central to AGHP’s objectives,” Krupansky remarked. “I am eager to broaden our educational outreach and enhance the training and resources available to professionals across the geohazard community.”

Founded in 2013, AGHP brings together a diverse community comprising owners, engineers, academics, contractors, and manufacturers dedicated to mitigating geohazards.

Krupansky is a chief geologist at Gannett Fleming and a registered professional geologist in four states. He specializes in the design and remediation of geologic hazards like landslides, rockfalls, and debris flows. He is an author and speaker on topics related to problematic geology and has affiliations with the Association of Engineering Geologists, the Pennsylvania Council of Professional Geologists, and the Geo-Institute, underscoring his deep and diverse engagement with the engineering geology community.
