A veteran geologist, Mike Knight is responsible for the technical direction of Gannett Fleming’s hydraulics and natural resources practices. In this role, he oversees expert services, strategic planning, and standardization and provides analysis and risk assessment/reduction strategies for applying geotechnology, geoconstruction, and ground modification techniques. Mike is well-versed in a variety of project types, including dams and hydraulic structures, surface and underground mining, upstream/midstream oil and natural gas, groundwater development and control, modeling and visualization, surface and down-hole geophysics, remote data acquisition and digital photogrammetry, environmental remediation, soil/rock slopes, and geologic hazards. Mike earned his Bachelor of Science in geology from Lake Superior State University.
