Free AIA Continuing Education for Registered Architects

As a leader in the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry, we strive to build a culture of lifelong learning, innovation, and continuous improvement at Gannett Fleming.

We’ve partnered with numerous accredited associations and institutions, including the American Institute of Architects (AIA), to provide free learning units through our INSIGHTS webcast series to provide continuing education for architects. Our professional development courses are also approved via the Registered Continuing Education Program (RCEP) to meet state professional engineering license renewal requirements.

  • How many learning units (LUs) do I need to fulfill AIA membership requirements?

    Architect and International Associate members of AIA must complete 18 LUs from registered AIA Continuing Education Service (CES) providers each year.

    Associate members are not required to fulfill a specific minimum hourly requirement. However, they are strongly encouraged to enroll in continuing education courses to advance their careers and the profession.

    AIA members are encouraged to complete online courses through AIAU and approved AIA CES resources like Gannett Fleming.

  • How many LUs do I need to renew my architectural license?

    Each state has different specifications. Learn more about your state’s requirements by visiting its licensing board website.

  • Is there a limit to how many courses I can take with Gannett Fleming?

    No! You can complete as many live and on-demand courses as you’d like and receive free AIA continuing education credits. While we encourage multiple views of our webinars, professional credits can only be claimed once per webcast.

  • When will I receive my AIA certificate of completion?

    Once you meet the required criteria for live or on-demand viewing, you can download your AIA certificate easily and instantly from the “Earn Professional Development Credits” window within the webcast. You can also return to the webcast anytime to access your certificate.

  • Who creates the programming and leads your courses?

    Our in-house experts and thought leaders create and lead our webcasts. They:

    • Hold leadership roles with respected industry and professional organizations.
    • Publish and contribute to articles in prestigious industry publications.
    • Speak at marquee AEC conferences, trade shows, and events.
