Schuylkill County Municipal Authority (SCMA) transformed its capital improvement upgrade approach from reactive to proactive, resulting in a program that successfully addresses rapidly aging infrastructure. Erie Water Works implemented a five-year rate and financial forecast to invest $65 million in its water system while passing only moderate annual water rate increases to its customers. The speakers will present an overview of each project and offer lessons learned to guide authorities facing similar challenges. This session will be presented in partnership with SCMA’s Patrick Caulfield, PE, and Raftelis’ Rocky Craley and Philip Sapone.
