Permitting
Our firm has in-house resources to assist our clients with Federal, State and local permitting and approvals associated with all types of water resources projects. In addition to the engineering support required for permitting activities, we employ a natural resources group that can identify impacts to natural resources, analyze the impacts, and develop appropriate mitigation plans. Our permitting capability includes, but is not limited to, preparation and submittal of permit applications associated with Section 404 of the Clean Water Act, Section 10 of the Rivers and Harbors Act, and state equivalent regulations, National Pollution Discharge Elimination System permits, Erosion and Sedimentation Control Plan approvals, highway occupancy permits, Federal Energy Regulatory Commission licensing, and local building permits. Our staff of technical writers excel at the art of writing concise 404(b)(1) Alternatives Analyses that meet needs of the Section 404 guidelines. With a diverse staff of engineers, biologists, and hydrologists, we have designed numerous wetland replacement/mitigation projects that are often a requirement for permit approval.
