
Dam Investigations/Inspections
Gannett Fleming completed Phase I Dam inspections of more than 150 dams during a four-year period as part of the National Dam Inspection Program administered by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Inspections consisted of a safety evaluation of each dam including hydrologic, hydraulic, geotechnical, and structural analyses.
Our firm currently completes Annual Dam/SEED Inspections of about 100 dams each year for various clients throughout the United States. We routinely perform field investigations and conceptual design services throughout the United States.
Gannett Fleming has extensive experience in Dam Evaluation and Renovation and has completed engineering evaluation, design, and construction-phase services for the renovation of 50 dams in the past 10 years. These projects have typically included field surveys and mapping, hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, geotechnical investigations, structural analyses, permitting and design. We are currently engaged in, or have recently completed, dam projects in Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Maryland, Michigan, Missouri, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia, Vermont, West Virginia, and Wyoming.
