Gannett Fleming’s George Street Bridge over Route 18 and Boyd Park has been awarded the Eugene C. Figg, Jr., Medal for Signature Bridges at the 27th Annual International Bridge Conference in Pittsburgh, Pa. The Figg Medal is an international award given annually to a single recent outstanding achievement in bridge engineering that, “through vision and innovation, provides an icon to the community for which it was designed.” The George Street Bridge is only the forth structure in the U.S. to be honored with this award.
