  • Addition more than doubles the size of the original church
  • New kitchen gives church the ability to hold social events
  • New education wing provides room for church-affiliated school.

The 13,700-square-foot new addition to the Emmanuel Baptist Church more than doubles its original 8,350-square-foot size. With a new lobby, fellowship hall, kitchen, restrooms, and education wing, the church welcomes more worshipers and programs and expands its presence in the community.

What We Did

Gannett Fleming provided architectural design; civil/site, structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering design; acoustics; audiovisual; and construction-phase services. The single-story addition was designed to complement the original masonry sanctuary building. Worshipers are greeted by an expanded, sunny foyer as they make their way to the new 300-seat fellowship hall. An education wing containing eight classrooms provides room for church-affiliated school, and the new kitchen allows the church to host social events such as dinners and receptions.

Key Features

  • New fellowship hall and kitchen offer opportunities for social events
