Phoenix Employees Walk for Wishes
On March 13, 2010, the Make-A-Wish Foundation held its Sixth Annual “Walk for Wishes” event at Kiwanis Park in Tempe, Ariz. This event raises money to grant wishes to children with life-threatening illnesses. This year’s walk raised more than $100,000.
David Burrows, Ron Schreier, Susie Mason, Melissa Mayers, Tony DeFrancesco, and Laura Newbrough from the Phoenix, Ariz., office participated in this year’s 5k event, which hosted more than 500 enthusiastic walkers and runners. Newbrough has organized this event for Gannett Fleming employees for the past three years. In addition, she has served on the raffle prize committee for two years.
