Workplace Giving for Water For People
The Newport News, Va., office held its fourth annual workplace giving campaign for Water For People during the week of March 31 through April 3. Water For People supports the development of locally sustainable drinking water resources, sanitation facilities, and health and hygiene education programs in developing countries.
Jessica Hou is a member of the organization's Virginia Peninsula Campaign. She presented a video and slideshow to inform employees about the organization’s activities. Employees then donated more than $300, all of which will be donated to the Chinda region of Honduras. The Peninsula Campaign has supported this area with more than $60,000 during the last four years through its annual workplace giving campaigns and golf tournament.
