Gannett Fleming Receives Pillar Society Award from United Way
Gannett Fleming was recently honored with a Pillar Society Award from the United Way of the Capital Region (UWCR). The annual award recognizes companies that donate at least $100,000 between employee and corporate donations. Gannett Fleming was one of 20 companies in the Capital Region who helped the United Way to not only meet but exceed their campaign goal for 2008.
UWCR Campaign Chairman Jonathan Vipond congratulated the companies: "To not only reach our goal, but exceed it in these tough economic times is a tribute to the extraordinary generosity of our community." Gannett Fleming employees once again demonstrated the value of community involvement by responding to the needs of our communities by significantly contributing to UWCR's total 2008 fundraising of $10.1 million.
