Phoenix Office Raises Funds for Make-A-Wish Foundation
On March 14, a Gannett Fleming team joined approximately 650 people at the Steele Indian School Park in Phoenix, Ariz., for the fifth annual Make-A-Wish Foundation Walk for Wishes and 5k Run/Walk to raise money to grant wishes to children with life-threatening illnesses. Laura Newbrough, an employee in the Phoenix office and Make-A-Wish co-chairperson for the event, led Gannett Fleming’s efforts in the walk and to raise money for raffle prizes.
Gannett Fleming employees contributed enough money to purchase the grand prize, a Wii and Wii Fit, and also donated some other great prizes, including baseball spring training tickets, gift cards to restaurants, and tickets to ride the new Valley Metro Rail. The event was a success and raised enough money to grant several wishes.
