Environmental Resources Participates in Yellow Breeches Clean-up
On April 8, several hardy staff members participated in a stream cleanup of the Yellow Breeches Creek and several of its tributaries in Lower Allen Township, not far from our Camp Hill offices. Scott Duncanson, Jeff Humpton and his wife, Rich Pugh, Craig Shirk, and Steve Smith braved the raw weather conditions to help with the stream cleanup. Many tires, several bikes, assorted car parts, and other debris were removed from the stream and its tributaries. The participants also filled numerous trash bags with litter that had been deposited along the banks of these streams.
Both Rich and Scott have personal ties to the project, as Rich is president of the Yellow Breeches Watershed Association and Scott is chairman of the Lower Allen Township Parks and Recreation Board.
