Newbrough Volunteers for Make-A-Wish Event
On Sept. 28, the Make-A-Wish Foundation and Cold Stone Creamery teamed up for the Fifth Annual World’s Largest Ice Cream Social. Cold Stone Creameries donated free ice cream in exchange for a donation to the foundation. This year’s featured ice cream was “Cole’s Creation,” inspired by a 10-year-old Wish kid who lives in Colorado.
Laura Newbrough in our Phoenix, Ariz., office volunteered at the Cold Stone Creamery in Tempe, Ariz., handing out scoops of “Cole’s Creation” to friends, family, and Gannett Fleming coworkers who came to show their support. The average wish costs approximately $5,000 to fulfill, and the Tempe store raised $1,000 toward that goal.
