Moose Elected to Pennsylvania Council of Professional Geologists Board of Directors

Roger D. Moose, P.G.(Harrisburg, Pa.) Roger D. Moose, P.G., has been elected to a three-year term on the Pennsylvania Council of Professional Geologists (PCPG) Board of Directors. PCPG is a professional advocacy and education organization that represents geologists and earth resource professionals throughout Pennsylvania.

As a member of the board, Moose’s key goals will be to raise public awareness of the role and application of geosciences, improve communication among practitioners in the state, and serve as a role model for younger professionals. A member of PCPG for the past five years, his areas of interest include contaminant hydrogeology and environmental characterization to support positive decision making.

With 36 years of professional experience, Moose serves as a site remediation project manager and hydrogeologist in Gannett Fleming’s Site Remediation Practice. Based in the firm’s corporate headquarters in Harrisburg, Pa., he is responsible for environmental projects performed for federal, state, municipal, industrial, and private clients. As project manager, he directs teams of engineers and scientists who perform environmental site assessments, conduct field investigations, drill monitoring wells, provide site remediation, perform environmental impact analyses, and conduct remedial investigations at hazardous and nonhazardous waste sites.

Moose holds a bachelor of arts in natural sciences from The Johns Hopkins University and a master of science in geology from The University of Delaware. He is a professional geologist in Pennsylvania, a certified professional geologist in Virginia, and a licensed geologist in North Carolina. He is also a registered site manager with the North Carolina Department of Environment and Natural Resources. Moose resides in Carlisle, Pa.
