Lewis Appointed Geotechnical Practice Manager of Gannett Fleming

Paul J. Lewis, P.E.(Harrisburg, Pa.) Paul J. Lewis, P.E., has been appointed manager of the Geotechnical Practice of Gannett Fleming, an international planning, design, and construction management firm. In this role, Lewis is responsible for maintaining the quality and consistency of work products across the practice companywide, leading the geographic growth of the practice, and facilitating work sharing and staffing of projects.

Lewis serves as a vice president and manager of the Geotechnical Section based in the firm’s corporate headquarters in Harrisburg, Pa. He is responsible for the management and technical review of geotechnical activities, including subsurface investigations, foundation recommendations, design and evaluation of dams and earth structures, evaluations of rock and earth stability and ground modification techniques, field and laboratory testing and instrumentation, designs of earth and rock tunnels, groundwater studies, hazardous waste investigations, and oversight of geotechnical construction activities.

Lewis has more than 27 years of geotechnical engineering experience and is a registered professional engineer in five states. He is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, Chi Epsilon, Tau Beta Pi, Deep Foundations Institute, the Association of Conservation Engineers, and the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) International. Lewis holds a bachelor of science in civil engineering from West Virginia University, and he is a former instructor for The Pennsylvania State University.
