Zimany Named NMSPE Young Engineer of the Year

Martin F. Zimany, E.I.(Albuquerque, N.M.) Martin F. Zimany, E.I., was named Young Engineer of the Year by both the New Mexico Section and the Albuquerque Chapter of the New Mexico Society of Professional Engineers (NMSPE). Zimany was honored for his dedication to the engineering profession and involvement with local community groups, including the Big Brothers Big Sisters organization and Junior Achievement of New Mexico.

Zimany is a project engineer with Gannett Fleming, an international planning, design, and construction management firm. Based in the firm’s Albuquerque, N.M, office, he provides preliminary engineering, preliminary and final design, and construction-phase services for both urban and rural highway and roadway projects. 

With more than eight years of engineering experience, Zimany holds a bachelor of science in civil engineering from The Pennsylvania State University. He serves in leadership positions within the Institute of Transportation Engineers, New Mexico Section, and the Northern Branch of the New Mexico Section of the American Society of Civil Engineers.
