 (Los Angeles, Calif.) Rodney J. Dawson, C.M.C., has been named a vice president with Gannett Fleming, an international planning, design, and construction management firm. Based in the firm’s Los Angeles, Calif., office, Dawson serves as the National Program and Project Management Consulting Practice leader.
With more than 40 years of experience, Dawson oversees Gannett Fleming’s project and program management services for diverse public and private clients. Under his leadership, the Practice provides clients with a full range of project services for capital program management, engineering and construction management, schedule and cost controls, contract administration, and project finance.
Dawson also serves as the regional office manager of the firm’s Los Angeles location, overseeing its daily operations and the work of its professional staff. The office specializes in program and project management consulting services, transit planning and studies, transit maintenance facility design, and construction management.
A certified management consultant, Dawson holds a bachelor of science in electrical engineering and a master of science in management from Imperial College of London University. He is a past chairman and president of the Project Management Institute, as well as a member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology and the Canadian Association of Management Consultants.
