  • The Loch Raven Dam in Baltimore, Md., was honored as one of the American Public Works Association’s 2006 Projects of the Year. This award recognizes successful partnerships among the managing agency, the engineer, and the contractor for the completion of important public works projects.

  • The American Society of Civil Engineers, Maryland Chapter presented the Loch Raven Dam with its Outstanding Civil Engineering Achievement Award, recognizing excellence in civil engineering.

  • Gannett Fleming was recently recognized as a member of the United Way of the Capital Region Pillar Society. The Pillar Society honors companies who donated a combined corporate and employee gift of $100,000 or more to its 2005 annual campaign. Gannett Fleming was one of 18 companies in the Capital Region, encompassing Pennsylvania’s Cumberland, Dauphin, and Perry counties, who received the award during the United Way’s annual dinner on April 5.   • The Plymouth Ridge Road Bridge Replacement Project was recently honored by the Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA), Ohio Valley Chapter, with the Design-Build Best Project Award in the Transportation under $15 Million category.
