The United
Way of the Capital Region (UWCR) presented Gannett Fleming
with a silver plaque award at its 2003 annual dinner, on April
9, at the Hershey Lodge and Convention Center in Hershey, Pa. Silver
plaques were awarded according to per capita giving between $100-$199.
Based on employee numbers of 700, Gannett Fleming’s per capita
giving (average donation per employee) in 2002 was $120.53. Overall,
Gannett Fleming’s employees pledged $84,374.33.
Gannett Fleming’s total donation to the UWCR for 2002 was
$95,374.33. This includes employee pledges, Gannett Fleming’s
corporate gift, and the money raised through special events sponsored
by Gannett Fleming’s United Way Committee.
